ABOUT
In the EX-CELL group we study the extracellular environment and the way it shapes cell survival, wound healing and cell death. We focus on the extracellular matrix (ECM) in brain, cancer and fibrotic research and the cross-talk between the ECM and extracellular vesicles (EV) as matrix and cell messengers. Our view is from the outside to the inside of cells uncovering new mechanisms in a variety of physio-pathological contexts. The ultimate goal is to target or exploit these extracellular paths in therapy.
